Terms of Service

Last updated: 4 November 2026

These terms govern your use of Storyboard Studio (the "Service"), a browser-based tool that converts narrative source text into a series plan, character sheets and a shot-by-shot storyboard with image-prompt text. By using the Service or purchasing access, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Storyboard Studio is a text generation tool. It does not generate, host, publish or distribute images, video or audio. It produces written planning documents and prompt text that you may then take to a third-party image or video generation model of your choosing.

You are responsible for the third-party tools you use downstream of the Service, including their terms, content policies and commercial licensing. We have no visibility into, and no control over, what you generate elsewhere.

The Service requires a modern browser and an internet connection. It is provided on an "as available" basis; model providers may experience downtime that is outside our control.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, to purchase access. Access is granted to a single individual for their own use. You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute access, the prompt templates, or the underlying system instructions.

3. Your content and intellectual property

Input. You keep all rights to the source text you paste in. You represent that you own it or have the right to adapt it. Do not paste text you do not have rights to, including copyrighted novels, screenplays or scripts belonging to others. Adapting a work you do not control may infringe third-party rights, and that risk is yours.

Output. Subject to your compliance with these terms, you may use the plans, character sheets, shot lists and prompt text produced from your own source text for any purpose, including commercial production.

Our materials. The system instructions, prompt architecture, interface and the rules that govern output structure remain our property. Output that reproduces them verbatim as text is licensed to you for use, not for republication as a competing product.

4. Acceptable use and AIGC content policy

We do not generate imagery, but the planning and prompt text this Service produces can be used to direct generative systems. We therefore apply the following content standards to what you submit and to what the Service will produce.

4.1 Absolutely prohibited

Sexual content involving minors. Any content that sexualises a person under 18, including fictional or illustrated depictions, is prohibited without exception. We will terminate access immediately and report to the relevant authorities where required by law.

4.2 Prohibited content categories

You may not use the Service to submit, request, or produce content falling into any of the following six categories:

CategoryWhat it covers
1. Sovereignty and national securityContent that undermines national sovereignty or territorial integrity, incites secession, endangers national security, or discloses state secrets.
2. National dignity and public interestContent that damages national honour and the public interest, including defamation of state symbols and institutions.
3. Ethnic and religious hatredContent that incites ethnic hatred or discrimination, or undermines ethnic unity and religious harmony.
4. Cults and superstitionContent that promotes cults, unlawful religious organisations, or superstition presented as fact.
5. Disinformation and public orderContent that spreads rumours or false information, disturbs public order, or undermines social stability.
6. Obscenity, violence and crimeObscene or pornographic content, gambling promotion, glorification of violence, gore for its own sake, terrorism, or instructions for committing crimes.

Additionally prohibited: non-consensual intimate imagery, content facilitating self-harm or eating disorders, content targeting identifiable real people with abuse or fabricated sexual material, and content that infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights.

4.3 How we enforce this

4.4 Reporting

To report content or behaviour that violates this policy, email 3142718451@qq.com with the subject prefix [ABUSE]. Reports are reviewed within two business days. Include the time of the incident and enough detail for us to identify it. If you believe content was produced that involves a minor, use the prefix [URGENT] and we will treat it as the highest priority.

4.5 Transparency and disclosure

Output from this Service is machine-generated text. If you publish or broadcast material built on it, you are responsible for complying with the labelling and disclosure rules that apply in your jurisdiction and on your distribution platform. Do not present generated output as human-authored where disclosure is required.

5. AI models used

The Service routes your request to one of the following large language models. Which one is used depends on availability and on the routing mode selected.

Provider / familyModels
Automatic routingAuto — selects an available model per request
DeepSeekDeepSeek-V4.1-Flash, DeepSeek-V4-Pro
Zhipu AIGLM-5.3, GLM-5.2
MoonshotKimi-K3, Kimi-K3.1-Pro
Tencent HunyuanHunyuan-2.0-Thinking
MiniMaxMiniMax-M2.5, MiniMax-M3.1-Flash
StepFunStep-5-Preview
Xiaomi MiMoMiMo-V2.6-Pro

The model actually used for a given request is displayed in the interface. Output quality varies between models; we do not guarantee that any specific model is available at any given time.

6. Payment, refunds and merchant of record

Payments are processed by Waffo, which acts as merchant of record. Waffo is the legal seller for the transaction, handles applicable taxes, issues the invoice, and settles the net amount to us. Your card or wallet statement will show Waffo, not Storyboard Studio.

Access is a one-time purchase. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel.

Refunds. Because access is delivered immediately and the tool can be used in full on first visit, purchases are generally non-refundable once access has been used. If the Service was unavailable or materially failed to work when you tried it, contact us within 14 days of purchase at 3142718451@qq.com and we will work it out, including a refund where warranted. Nothing here limits statutory rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in access being suspended while the dispute is resolved.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is a planning aid. Output is machine-generated and may be inaccurate, internally inconsistent, or unsuitable for your production. You are responsible for reviewing everything before you rely on it or spend money producing it.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost production time, lost revenue, or costs incurred with third-party generation services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for it.

8. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of section 4, or if the Service is discontinued — in the latter case we will refund on a pro-rata basis where access was purchased recently and substantially unused.
